Product feed checklist
Twenty checks on whether an AI can find your products and get them right.
Your primary feed is probably fine. The Google & YouTube app pulls it out of Shopify and covers the basics without anyone touching it.
The catch is everything that decides whether an AI picks your product in the first place. Highlights, specs, pre-written Q&A. Shopify has no native field for any of them, so nothing is sending them and a tidier primary feed won't help. A supplemental feed will. It's one sheet keyed on product ID that adds the columns your primary feed can't carry.
Fix these in Shopify first

Check what your feed already sends
Most of this is already right. Spot-check it and move on.
Build the supplemental feed
Shopify has no field for any of these, so no app is going to add them for you. Most of your time goes here.

Commas between values, no quote marks. Quote them and Merchant Center treats the lot as one bullet.
Check your work
Worth doing the day after you upload, not the same afternoon.
This pays off either way
Google Shopping and Performance Max read the same product data these agents do, so this usually turns up in Shopping performance long before anything changes in AI results. Worth doing even if you think the agent stuff is overblown.
Prefer to work in a spreadsheet? Here's the same checklist as a Google Sheet. File then Make a copy, and it's yours to mark up.
